The spray head

It replaces your current pull-down spray head. And much more.

Oreka screws on in place of your faucet's spray head and gives you filtered water on demand.

    Power jet

Powerful, for washing dishes. Unfiltered water.

  • The Oreka spray head, ring set to standard mode, with its shower of water streams

    Standard

    Your everyday spray. Unfiltered water.

  • The Oreka spray head, ring set to filtration mode, indicator light on, with its single stream of water

Why

The problem runs deeper than you think

40%

of water mains in Canada are cast iron, and 86% of those are more than 50 years old.

70%

of Americans are worried about the quality of their water (up from 34% in 2021).

  1. Water treated at the plant gets recontaminated on its way to you: ageing infrastructure, main breaks, pressure drops.
  2. The chlorine added to compensate creates concerning compounds of its own (THMs and HAAs: chlorination by-products).
  3. Consumers are better informed than ever and want proof, not promises.
  4. Current solutions force a compromise: disposable filters (plastic waste), bulky and complex systems, or dated designs.

Filtration

One cartridge, no compromise

We don't just filter water. We rethink how it should be filtered.

Certifications

  • NSF certification mark NSF/ANSI 42 and 53
  • CSA certification mark CSA certified
  • Certified filtration

Activated carbon fibre, certified to NSF 42 and NSF 53 for chlorine, lead and PFAS.

  • Instant filtration

Filtered water flows straight into your glass at full faucet flow. No waiting, unlike a filter pitcher.

  • Real sustainability

Only the carbon cartridge is replaced (every 4 months or 500 L). The system is built to last, not to be thrown away.

  • Premium design

Aluminum housing, designed to complement your kitchen, not clutter it.

  • Built to last

A modular design that makes replacing parts easy.

  • Accurate lifespan

Electronic reading of the cartridge's actual use, not just a timer.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit my faucet?

Oreka fits most pull-down faucets: it screws on in place of your current spray head, using the nine included adapters (G 1/2 (Ø 20.5 mm), G 1/2 male (two models), 5/8-18 UNF, 11/16 in (Ø 17.1 mm), 5/8-24 (Ø 15.5 mm), 5/8-16 UN (Ø 15.3 mm), Ø 16.4 mm and Ø 14 mm).

Compatibility: a pull-down faucet works with Oreka; a standard fixed-spout faucet and a pull-out faucet do not.

It does not fit fixed-spout faucets; in that case, the complete Oreka faucet set is the answer. Not sure which adapter you need? Email a photo of your faucet and its unscrewed spray head to contact@orekatech.ca and we’ll confirm the right adapter before you buy.

How often do I change the cartridge?

About every 4 months or 500 L. The device tells you based on actual use, not a simple timer. Standard and power jet modes bypass the cartridge: the more you use them for dishes and rinsing, the longer it lasts.

Do I need to replace my faucet?

Only if it doesn't have a pull-down head. The spray head alone ($149) screws onto a pull-down faucet with the included adapters; otherwise, the complete faucet ($375) ensures compatibility. Both offers come in black, chrome or brushed nickel.

How much is a replacement cartridge?

$30. The device lets you know when it's time to replace it.

What is certified?

The activated carbon fibre filtration is certified to NSF 53 and NSF 42 for the reduction of chlorine, lead and PFAS.

When will I receive my Oreka?

Deliveries are planned for April 2027. We'll keep you updated by email at every stage of production.

How does La Ruche work?

La Ruche is a Québec crowdfunding platform. You pre-order during the campaign; if the goal is reached, production starts and you receive your product. If not, you're refunded.
